Here is a brief outline of how we do homework in 2nd grade:

Monday:  read items in orange fluency folder (fluency story and sight words)

Tuesday:  read items in orange fluency folder (Flency story and sight words)

Wednesday:  read items in fluency folder (Flency story, sight words, sometimes a leveled reader)

                    *practice words for Spelling test tomorrow

Thursday:  Your child will bring home their reading textbook.  They need to read the story that we have been working on that week in class.

                 *Look over D.O.L. page for test tomorrow

Friday:  No homework

All week your child should be working on A.R.  They should try to read at least 2-3 books a week and take a test on them.
